Created by our friends a fever and presented in stunning venues across the country, expect a hair-raising evening of music from an array of spine-chilling movies (and some a bit less scary) played by a talented string quartet in a flickering candlelit surrounding.

Scare yourself silly with a special screening of Alfred Hitchcock's seminal horror movie, complete with a live orchestra playing Bernard Herrmann's infamous score live! In a concert experience to really raise the tension and your heart-rate, watch in mounting terror as Janet Leigh's anti-heroine Marion Crane finds herself in a shadowy motel while on the run with her boss' money, welcomed in by the oddball proprietor Norman Bates. According to Bates, she is the sole occupier in the motel apart from his infirm mother... but not all is as it seems.

You may not recognize his name, but you will know his work! As the celebrated composer for some of Studio Ghibli's most enchanting animated movies, Joe Hisaishi is a master of the soundtrack using a fusion of European classical, Japanese traditional, ambient electronic and minimalist music to conjure up the wonderful worlds of My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away and more, creating a nostalgic and whimsical sound. Presented by fever, this candlelit concert features a raft of Hisaishi's best works for Ghibli, played by an accomplished string quartet.
