Tony Winner Sam Pinkleton brings this lively Scottish musical to Baltimore!
Tony Award winner Sam Pinkleton (Oh Mary!) directs and choreographs this truly one-of-a-kind Scottish musical, making its North American debut at Baltimore's France-Merrick Performing Arts Center this Fall! In a special night that will see audiences up on their feet along with the performers, Ceilidh (pronounced Kay Lee) is a celebration of a historic Scottish and Irish tradition.
The Ceilidh has been a part of Scottish and Irish culture for hundreds of years. Communal dance, folk music, and storytelling intertwine in a tradition that brings people together with joy and soul. This new musical ode to the tradition premiered in the UK last year, and tells a story of community, Gaelic heritage and honor - and also promises to have audiences leaping out of their seats to join in on the festivities!
